Visitor from the moon for launch of new Buckingham offices

Apollo 16 astronaut Charlie Duke will be making a rare public appearance in Gawcott,  Buckingham on Tuesday 17th November for the official launch of Apollo Office Court, Buckingham’s prestigious new development of high-tech units for small businesses.

As one of only nine living moon-walking astronauts from the Apollo missions and gifted with the combined abilities of storytelling and motivating others, Duke is in demand worldwide as a keynote speaker. Together with fellow astronaut John Young, Charlie spent 71 hours on the moon in 1972, including driving the lunar rover. Previously he was Capcom (Capsule Communicator) in Houston for the historic Apollo 11 mission, speaking to Neil Armstrong and ‘Buzz’ Aldrin as they became the first men on the moon.

Situated in Radclive Road, Gawcott, Apollo Office Court comprises 20 individual, high-specification units each of approximately 90m², arranged around an attractively planted central courtyard. The units all have allocated parking spaces and free access to an excellent on-site conference and catering facility – an important bonus for small businesses.

With just six of the units remaining on the market for sale or rent, Apollo Court has got off to a flying start, despite the adverse trading conditions of the last few months. To date, it has attracted a diverse range of businesses from various sectors including automotive consultancy, construction services, financial services, interior design, marketing communications and recruitment, as well as a national charity organisation.
